Turkey Egg Roll Bowl
Ingredients: Makes 4-6 servings
1 lb lean ground turkey
1 medium sweet onion, julienne
4 fresh garlic cloves, minced
2-3 green onions, sliced
1/2 cup grated or matchstick carrots
1 bag Tri-color coleslaw mix
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/4 cup Bragg Liquid Aminos or Low Sodium Soy Sauce
salt and pepper, to taste (optional)
sesame seeds
Directions:
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil, ground turkey and cook, stirring, until no longer pink. Drain; return meat to skillet.
Add diced onion, garlic, and sesame oil to the skillet. Cook, stirring, for a few more minutes (until onion is tender)
Add tri-color coleslaw mix and carrots to skillet. Cook, stirring for about 5-7 minutes or until cabbage is slightly wilted.
Add soy sauce and hoisin sauce. Stir well. Simmer for 2-3 minutes. Stirring often.
Remove skillet from heat. Stir in green onions. Garnish with sesame seeds.
