Healthier Filthy Cabbage with Ground Turkey

Discover the perfect high fiber and protein snack with our blueberry chia seed pudding recipe. This blueberry chia seed pudding is both delicious and nutritious!


Ingredients: Makes 8 servings (1 1/2 cups)

  • 2.5 Ibs ground turkey

  • 1 large head green cabbage, chopped into bite-sized pieces

  • 1 large sweet onion, diced

  • 1 red bell pepper, diced

  • 1 yellow bell pepper, diced

  • 1 can basil, garlic diced tomatoes (no sodium)

  • 2 tbsp garlic, minced

  • 1.5 / 2 cups low sodium chicken broth

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika

  • 2 tsp granulated garlic

  • 1 tsp salt (add more if desired)


Directions:

  1. Add olive oil & sauté onions & bell pepper in skillet.

  2. Add grown turkey. Season and brown the ground turkey. Drain the fat.

  3. Push the turkey to the sides of the pot. Add the tomatoes; cook for 5-8 minutes.

  4. Add the granulated garlic, paprika, salt, chicken broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Then add the garlic and simmer for 5 minutes.

  5. Add the chopped cabbage in batches if needed. Stir until fully coated. Cover and reduce heat to medium-low.

  6. Simmer covered for 10-15 minutes, or until the filthy cabbage reaches your preferred texture.

  7. If the sauce is too runny, cook uncovered for a few minutes.
