Healthy + Simple High Protein Snack Recipe: Apple Pie Greek Yogurt Parfait
Ingredients: Makes 1-2 servings FOR THE CINNAMON APPLES:
1 apple, diced
1-2 teaspoon unsalted butter
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp Truvia brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4-1/2c water
FOR THE CINNAMON GREEK YOGURT:
3/4 - 1 CUP Oikos PRO Vanilla Greek Yogurt (high protein)
sprinkle ground cinnamon
FOR THE PARFAIT TOPPING:
1/4 cup Kashi Go Lean Honey Almond Fax Crunch Cereal
Whipped Topping
Directions:
Heat butter in medium skillet on low-medium heat.
When butter has melted, add apples to skillet.
Top apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir until well blended.
Saute apples for 2 minutes.
Add 1/4 cup of water. Stir well
Cook apples until mixture gets syrup consistency. Set aside
Mix yogurt and cinnamon
In small parfait dish or single serving bowl, add 1/2 Greek yogurt.
Layer with some of the apple mixture.
Repeat yogurt and apple layer.
Top with Kashi Cereal and whipped topping. Enjoy!
