Healthy + Simple High Protein Snack Recipe: Apple Pie Greek Yogurt Parfait


Ingredients: Makes 1-2 servings FOR THE CINNAMON APPLES:

  • 1 apple, diced

  • 1-2 teaspoon unsalted butter

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp Truvia brown sugar

  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1/4-1/2c water


FOR THE CINNAMON GREEK YOGURT:

  • 3/4 - 1 CUP Oikos PRO Vanilla Greek Yogurt (high protein)

  • sprinkle ground cinnamon


FOR THE PARFAIT TOPPING:

  • 1/4 cup Kashi Go Lean Honey Almond Fax Crunch Cereal

  • Whipped Topping


Directions:

  1. Heat butter in medium skillet on low-medium heat.

  2. When butter has melted, add apples to skillet.

  3. Top apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir until well blended.

  4. Saute apples for 2 minutes.

  5. Add 1/4 cup of water. Stir well

  6. Cook apples until mixture gets syrup consistency. Set aside

  7. Mix yogurt and cinamon

  8. In small parfait dish or single serving bowl, add 1/2 Greek yogurt.

  9. Layer with some of the apple mixture.

  10. Repeart yogurt and apple layer.

  11. Top with Kashi Cereal and whipped topping. Enjoy!
